Frequently Asked Questions
Still wondering about your vehicle? Call and talk to a real person.
(403) 688-7307Why do two buyers quote different numbers?
Weight-only quotes ignore converters, wheels and reusable parts; some quotes deduct towing later. Ask whether towing is included and the number is final.
Is the price negotiable?
We quote our best number, not an opening position, and do not quote high just to renegotiate at pickup.
Why does the converter matter?
It contains valuable metals and can be a major line item. Tell us if it is missing.
Does mileage affect price?
Much less than at a dealer because weight, parts and material do not depend on kilometres.
What if I owe more than it is worth?
The lien must be cleared and you cover any shortfall. Tell us before dispatch.
Can I sell without registration?
Usually if ownership can be established; a replacement registration is often simplest.
What is a bill of sale?
It records the transfer. We complete it at pickup and leave your copy.
Why cancel registration?
It closes the vehicle out of your name and prevents later responsibility.
Salvage versus non-repairable?
Salvage may return as rebuilt after repair and inspection; non-repairable can only become parts and material. We buy both.
Do I need an out-of-province inspection?
No. We buy as-is, including failed inspections.
Can I get an insurance refund?
Often. Ask your insurer about unused prepaid coverage after sale.
Can I sell an estate vehicle?
Usually, with documents proving authority over the estate.
A tenant abandoned a vehicle. Can you take it?
Only after documents establish your right to dispose of it.
I never transferred it into my name.
A prior bill of sale often resolves this. Call and explain the chain.
Can someone else handle pickup?
Yes, with advance authorisation; payment can go to you by e-transfer.
What if it is frozen into the ground?
Usually manageable, though a Chinook or reschedule may avoid damage.
Can you collect in bad weather?
Usually. Unsafe ice or very soft ground may require rescheduling.
Do you need keys?
No.
How many vehicles can you take?
We price the lot together and explain if multiple trips are needed.
Are you a towing company?
No. We are a buyer; towing is how we collect purchased vehicles.
What happens to my personal information?
It is used only to quote and complete the sale, never sold or shared.
Can I recover forgotten belongings?
Not after processing. Check every compartment before pickup.
Still Have a Question?
Call and ask. We'd rather spend two minutes answering than have you decide on a guess.
